DUTIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Bank’s Technology footprint within Monaco, ensuring the appropriate level of service to the business and clients is provided continuously, and that governance, due diligence and risk management processes and policies are adhered to. The role holder will be responsible for production support, local stakeholder management, resource, and budget planning, the local infrastructure, interfaces to the Bank and 3rd parties, and carry responsibility for the introduction of any changes locally. They will be the main point of contact for both internal and external technology audits and will be a leader driving the implementation of Group Technology Strategies locally.

The role holder will be a key participant in Technology projects for the Monaco entity, ensure they are delivered according to requirements and with minimal disruption to the business. The role holder will be able to clearly articulate local specificities around strategies and will help define suitable strategies for the location.

Business Relationship Management
The role holder will be responsible for all Monaco Technology incident resolution, issue management and stakeholder management. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring Industry leading service performance is delivered, provide appropriate reporting, accommodate regular service reviews, and will engage with Group stakeholders on dependencies as applicable.

Effective Leadership and Performance Management
The role holder will provide leadership to the Monaco Technology function by developing and maintaining a clearly articulated team structure and technology strategy aligned with the Group. The role holder will provide inspirational leadership, they will be accountable for the motivation, management and development of their team. They will carry out regular performance review sessions, and assist team members in defining objectives that allow them to develop their full potential.

Risk Management
He will be accountable for all local Regulatory, Audit, Control and Risk Management, they will ensure quality controls are in place to identify gaps and ensure issues and risks are effectively managed. The candidate will understand the Wealth data landscape, its architectures and technologies and understand the requirements of data privacy policies and legislation, particularly as it applies to the Monaco entity. He will maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, they will pro-actively define and implement procedural and technology changes where required to maintain control standards and drive continuous improvement. The role holder will be a member of the Monaco Risk Committee, and Management Committee as well as other relevant forums both locally and globally.

Commercial Management
The candidate will be responsible for the department’s financial and headcount commitments and will focus on achieving cost efficiencies. The role holder will ensure active management of 3rd Party Suppliers is in place through engagement with the wider Supplier Management teams and support the management of internal Bank’s suppliers by conducting regular performance management against our Service Level Agreements.

Supervisory responsibilities
He will have a direct team of approximately 15 staff based in Monaco. They will also be expected to influence well beyond their line remit, work in a global, matrix-shaped organization, with teams delivering across geographic locations and timezones.

Key clients (internal and external)
Operations, Risk and Compliance, Finance Europe and International Private Banking businesses, Programme and Project Managers, Business Managers and colleagues. Local Geneva and Monaco COOs and Senior Management Teams.

PROFILE

The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience of managing a Technology team with responsibilities spanning from infrastructure to run-the-bank as well as change-the bank.

He will have a solid professional technical background and will demonstrate the ability to lead, manage and coach a diverse Technology Team.

You will be capable of working in a fragmented, complex and changing environment and will be able to create strong relationships with the business, technology management (and peers), and vendor representatives while leading implementation of the Group Technology strategy locally.

You will communicate clearly (written and orally) to senior management and other stakeholders, manage day to day issues, escalating when appropriate and also demonstrate the ability to solve problems and present solutions. You will have a strong understanding of client service and will be able to prioritize issue resolution according to potential business impact.
