Adecco Monaco in looking for his client, a senior tax and fiscal analyst.
The purpose of the role is to support the Retained services Team in Securities area providing high standards of service quality more specifically in the Tax and Fiscal processing and regulatory reporting of a range of investments products offered on the Monaco platform.
The role holder will have a strong background in financial market transactions, expertise in both Tax related securities transactions and Tax reporting being accountable for accurate declarations in a timely manner to regulators of the following liaising with Group tax or external consultant :
French Fiscal reporting (IFU, ISF)
QI Reporting (1042 & 1099)
French and European Tax Transaction
The role holder will also have knowledge in the below activities :
Stock exchange Settlement
In addition, the role holder will have to support the Head of Retained services to develop and implement new investment products to help the Front office and GI&S in the increase of products range improving client experience and allowing continuous growth of the Monaco platform. This will include creation and adjustment of Tax & Fiscal procedures for critical activities.
For each of the above the role holder will be expected to build relationships with the local teams and interact effectively and professionally with the Front Office and all key stakeholders.
The role holder will also have to interact with bank Shared Services for outsourced activities ensuring smooth and relevant handling in line with internal agreement and responsibilities distribution. In addition the role holder will need to adhere and ensure for aligning processes and controls across the onshore and offshore platforms supporting the International Private Bank.
Finally the role holder will also have to participate and support change initiatives in focus to become a strong delegate to the head of the department but also a partner of the Front Office and Business Management including putting in place specific sessions to streamline, improve processes and ad-hoc daily controls fully complying with the Risk framework.
• Responsible of the above retained services matters ensuring the all activities are completed within SLA.
• Responsible for the good processing of the tasks according to internal procedures, regulatory/law/tax requirements, and settlement quality standard (booking on time, low reversal rate, proficient investigations, etc ...).
• Processing improvements and reengineering : Participate in the improvement of the business process/Avaloq functionality. Identify weak processes in terms of effectiveness, increasing efficiency and reducing risk. Ensure proactive resourcing and support for “New Business” and Change initiatives
• Attend team meetings and propose process improvements assisting the head of department in the implementation of the risk and controls framework
• The role holder will also be a key SME contact for all projects impacting Retained Services.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The successful candidate will be required to strongly support the head of retained services to manage a wide range of Stakeholders across the business from Analysts through to Managing Directors. The role holder will need to maintain a professional approach and work in partnership with the Front Office to help them in maintaining strong client experience.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
The successful candidate will be required to use its investigative skills to solve problems and make decisions in respect of.
The successful candidate will also need to be able to be proactive, pragmatic and propose solutions to help the front office to develop the Business and be part of the continuous grow of the Platform.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and will have experience of working in a similar role.
The successful candidate will also need to be able to work as part of a team but be self-motivating to complete tasks individually. A positive outlook combined with strong professionalism will be key as will an eye for detail and an ability to think outside of the box.
The ability to drive process improvements and apply LEAN principles will also be a positive addition to any skill set.
