Expatriate Position in Pointe Noire, Congo

Responsible for ensuring all the accounting activities are performed according to the Company’s reporting protocols. Main activities : Full Accounts (payables, receivables), Cash Flow Management, Taxation, Financial Accounting, Billing and Collection, Administration

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT :
-  Treasury Management. Coordinates with local banks for any relevant incoming/outgoing cash movements including establishment of credit facility.
-  Full Accounts (Receivables/Payables). Final review of Charter and Agency Invoices prior to sending to end-clients.
-  Funding Request Review. Review of SO-recon, local supplier’s payment plan and other local bank funding prior to submitting to the Head Office CFO.
-  Tax Administration. Ensures that all statutory taxes are filed on time and proper payments are being done. Attend also critical tax meetings together with the Company Tax Lawyer.
-  Book Closing. Oversee that accurate and timely monthly book closing is being done by the department in order to generate Branch Financial Reports to be submitted to the Head Office.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING :
-  Corporate Budget and Financial Projection. Submit to the Head Office budget and forecast information, if needed.
-  Management Advisory. Respond to MD’s inquiries or even those of other departments re financial results, special reports and other financial information, if needed.

BILLING & COLLECTION :
-  In-charge of attending coordination-meeting with end-clients, ship-owners, major local suppliers re Billing & Collection concerns.

ADMINISTRATION
-  Responsible for all office administration issues ranging from company cars, office supplies….

Minimum Qualifications :
1. Have at least 5 years work experience of direct supervision with full cycle Accountants.
2. Have at least 3 years work experience as a full cycle Accountant and preferably has background in the Audit Firm.
3. Have knowledge and experience with OHADA Standards and preferably expert in Financial Reporting and accounts reconciliation.
4. Have experience handling tax administration and local banks negotiations.
5. Have good skills in the French and English language.

This position is an expatriate position in the Petro Services office in Pointe Noire, Congo.
(Head Office for Petro Services based in Monaco ; Interview in Monaco).
